Another great bird count took place last Sunday (January 15, 2012) at Stanley Park in Vancouver, BC, Canada: 36 species and over 800 birds were seen!
Kudos to our fearless leader, Robyn Worcester, concervation officer at the Stanley Park Ecology Society (SPES) and to the volunteers other than myself who were present on this sunny but slightly cold day. I would also like to point out that Robyn and SPES have been doing these counts for over five years, every second Sunday of the month. Now that's dedication!
To see a selection of pictures taken during this event, take a look at my album on the We Love Birds website: http://www.welovebirds.org/photo/albums/january-2012-bird-count-sta...
BTW, I would like to compare notes and have exchanges with any other member of WLB whoes do this sort of thing: let's try to build a virtual global community of volunteer bird monitors!!!
