Hi.  I've been enjoying this website every day from (almost) day one of its launch and I'd like to thank everyone involved for making and continuing such a great site.  I was wondering though if there was any easy way of seeing where the contributors were located (globally) without having to click on each of the 4000+ members' profile pictures individually.  Would it be possible to have some kind of map or page or link or coding that could show you at a glance which countries or cities people were from to encourage members to widen the scope of their social networking?  I'm thinking something like eBird's tie-in with Google Maps?  If not, perhaps a simple way of showing which continent people are on so you can see instantly if they're in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa or Australasia?  I for one really like to chat with people who are in countries I may never visit and of course I love to see their local 'exotic' birds, but (for whatever reason) I usually end up chatting with people from the USA or Canada (which is great) but I can't believe that everyone is from Florida!  I have no idea how awkward it would be to implement this, but perhaps a simple USA / Beyond-USA symbol could be added to newcomers profile?  In the mean time, I'll go back to chatting with my friends in Canada, Israel, Mexico and India and just keep an eye out for "foreigners" as they join the site.  By-the-way, I'm a foreigner too, as I'm originally from England, so no offense intended - we are all from the same planet after all!  :)

I love this site.  It is not only informative and fun, but I am meeting new birders/photographers too.

Thanks so much.

Hi.. :)

Is it just my imagination, or are you all very actively growing online by leaps and bounds the last year or so..? Represents GREAT USE of social networking, for sure.. :)

Got a question :: Do you have a quick, handy how-to/guidelines specifically for this WeLoveBirds Ning group..? Meaning something like, say the photos.. I added a couple the other day and just now discovered they ended up part of the photo contest, presumbably by design default = OOPS..! Certainly don't mind, but was not my conscious intentions as mine truly are amateur..

Thanks for *any* feedback.. It will be appreciated from one of the newbies trying to make a pain-free, error-free transition on to the site.. :)

Cindy Sue
