Sorry the photo is not better...I saw this bird lakeside in Orlando, FLA.  I think it might be a juvenile Wood Stork, but am not sure.  I got within 3 feet of the bird and he/she was huge!  Amazing!!Continue

"I think it's a Wood Stork, but it's pretty tricky to tell from that distance. I saved and then enlarged the picture and the feet look pink not black and the neck looks shorter than an Egret, but it also looks a little "off" for…"

"Thanks, Laura! Its head and beak definitely looked like your photos of the wood stork, but its body did not have that black plumage. That's why I thought maybe it was a juvenile? "

Laura Erickson replied to Simon Katz's discussion Can someone please help me identify this bird?
"I'm having trouble telling what the face looks like. I don't see black on the wingtips, but the angle might be wrong for that, and from here it looks like it has a yellow beak, but that could be the vegetation. So the two possibilities are…"

"I've found one that works pretty well at Walmart and other stores. It has a cage on a spring around the tube. Squirrels are too heavy and pull the cage down, covering the openings, but birds don't pull the cage down. An occasional squirrel…"
