It looks like a Purple Finch, just can't say 100% sure because of the distance. House Finches have heavy streaking on the sides whereas Purple Finches have cleaner sides, which this bird appears to have.

The juvenile starling has a dark beak, and it's the right size. Try googling "picture of juvenile starling". They do love the suet.

Thanks Danielle! I do have a small birdbath that they seem to like. The hummingbirds on the other hand aren't coming so easily! I guess that patience is the key!

I don't know about there, but in Florida, it has been my experience that the hummingbirds don't use the feeder except when there aren't any blooming flowers, like when it is cold or after a hurricane. You may want to try adding some honeysuckle type plants to attract them.

Hi Megan,
It appears you are already attracting beautiful visitors.
As they tell their friends more and more will come!
And a birdbath/fountain will draw even more.
Welcome to welovebirds.org!
