Peregrine Falcon Canibalism

Has anyone seen a Peregrine Falcon eating another P. Falcon?  We volunteer for the National Fish & Wildlife at Cape Meares Lookout Platform on the coast in Oregon.  This is our first year doing this.  We've had P. Falcons nesting in the cove since the 1980s.  For the first time in all that time we have seen, 2 days in a row, an adult P. Falcon eating a fledgling P. Falcon.  All the people who have watched the Falcons in our cove have never seen this happening.Yesterday we watched an adult…See More

Yes, I was very lucky to have the Kites this week. This was the most exciting bird event ever in my yard. They were present 3 mornings in a row, and one let me get very close.  You can see the Kite photos on Discover Life; there may be some different ones

Welcome to WLB Judy.  I have about 350+ birds 'under my belt' but I haven't seen any of the ones you uploaded!  I think I need to plan a trip to the Sonoran Desert one day!  :)
