He is cute.  The program Nature, on Pbs, just had a program on raccoons in urban settings.  Early on morning on the way to work I encountered what looked like space aliens.  It was a mother raccoon with kits on the right and left standing straight up in the middle of the road.  In the dark and with glowing eyes at five in the morning I thought ET had finally gotten to my neighborhood.

I had to stop using pedestal bird baths just for this reason! Those little buggers would climb up into them and tip them over. I started putting the bird bath basins on stumps and low tables. Now the only evidence is the mud and debris I often find in them in the morning! But I just can't stay  mad at them for too long...
