Hi everyone    I took these photos of a male and female duck yesterday and I am unsure as to what kind of duck they are, all I know is that I have never seen them before. Thanks for your help Vern

The size and white head make me think it's a 1st summer Great Black-backed Gull.  They can be very pale when they are young.

Honeymoon Island State ParkFl., very close to Gulf of Mexico, like 20 feet.

I don' think it is dark enough to be either.

That's why I am debated between ring-billed and herring.
