Hello and welcome.

A European Starling is what it is; and although I saw where Miss Miller and Mr. Hearns answered that for you in our clubhouse, see this link for a bit more about these guys: http://www.welovebirds.org/forum/topics/can-anyone-tell-me-what-thi...

I hope you find pleasure here.
This is a juvenile European Starling. Its plumage is changing. Note the mark in front of its eye...and the beak hasn't turned yellow yet.

Ok, here is one for you. This bird was pretty far away, and I had to zoom in with my camera. He was big enough that I noticed him in the tree way across the road. We live next to a heavily wooded cemetary, lots of birds there. He was in one of the trees over there and I noticed him from my front yard. Would love to know what it is. It reminds me of a starling, but it was so big.
I just photographed this juvenile hawk today, November23, 2010. I can't decide if it is is a Cooper's Hawk or a Sharp-shinned Hawk???
Thanks

It looks like a Sharp-shinned Hawk. The tail is more squared off than a Coopers and it has little or no white band at the end of the tail feathers. Watch them when they fly Sharp-shinned will tend to spread the tail feathers while Coopers will be more together and rounded.
